OUR STORY
It’s fair to say, I love a little sparkle, a little fur (faux of course!) and a gingham print!
Hi, my name is Brooke and welcome to Gift&Ware. I come from a family of retailers - it’s in my blood! I love to make customers feel special with good old fashioned customer service that defines my approach to business.
When I was young, I worked for my family in various retail businesses – this is where my love for retail began. In my 20’s, I followed my now husband to Roma in western Queensland where we opened our first store – Shop B. It was a ladies fashion, home and giftwares boutique, set in an old timber shopfront on the main street. It was my baby before my actual babies! I loved curating outfits for a country race day or providing tailored homewares and a statement piece to bring a room to life. I absolutely loved making others feel truly special.
In 2014, our first son was born, which led to the difficult decision to sell the business and return home to live in Brisbane’s west. After a number of years and three wonderful children later, we find ourselves again with an opportunity to provide our community with hand-picked gifts and homewares. This is my second chance at my first love – retail. I have rebranded Shop B to Gift&Ware and pivoted to a majority online business in an attempt to give back to many of those regional and remote customers that supported me in Roma, many years ago.

I love fashion and some say I have a little bit of my brother and mamma’s flare for interior design! I love clean surfaces and bold statement pieces. I love the way accessories can complete an outfit and make the person wearing them feel incredible.
Gift&Ware was created to be a one-stop shop for those searching for unique homewares, gifts and fashion accessories. Most importantly though, my customers will get my time, care and attention – that unbeatable customer service!
